Today we went outside to listen to all the amazing sounds we could hear - birds, dogs, cars, trucks, airplanes, children, toys, trees and lots more! It was also fun to get back out into our outdoor learning spaces! We learned all about the famous Russian artist Kadinsky and then decided to try our hands at some art inspired by him. We used three different media - paint; chalk, and oil pastels! What: Ralph Breaks the Internet (PG rating)

The Student Council voted for the movie Ralph Breaks the Internet . The screening will take place in the school hall on the big projector just like at the cinema! Children are welcome to bring snacks and there will be a tuck shop selling treats on the night too. Children are welcome to bring along siblings, friends other family members. Tickets €5 (single) €10 (family) will be on sale outside the school every morning and afternoon. Tickets will also go on sale online. The proceeds of the movie night will go towards the running costs of the Whole-School Musical -Annie. Please support our Movie night and bring all the family! Preparation for the whole school musical is well underway. As part of your child’s participation in the cast we request that your child wear certain items of clothing during the performance. These clothing items will need to be sent into your child’s class teacher by May 30th in a bag clearly labelled with their name and class. Details of your child(ren)’s costume is below gROUP 1: "Easy Street"Will need a plaid shirt; dark trousers and a flat cap (not baseball cap) Group 2: "nyc"Will need a shirt; tie; jacket; and black trousers Furthermore, the school would great appreciate any help you could provide with the collection of props for the play. If you have any of the following items at home that you could lend to the school, please let us know and would gratefully accept it:

We were so lucky to have two Russian speakers in our class who taught us how to say hello, goodbye, please, thank you, yes and no in Russian! We had great fun practicing! Today Pamela brought in matryoshka dolls for us to examine! They were so cool! Today we attended a brilliant workshop entitled 'Walk in their shoes' which was all about raising awareness of autism and of discussing how everyone can be a good friend to someone with autism. |
