Thanks to Dale Treadwell who visited P.E.T.N.S. last week for a Dinosaur Show! It was great and we learned so much about dinosaurs. 🦖🦕 Hi Parents,
On Wednesday, as part of their Oral Language homework the Birch Class will be asked to discuss celebrations. Last week, we worked together to make word maps around celebrations in pairs/groups and now I am asking children to use this template individually to discuss their favourite celebrations at home. Please see template below. Also see our own examples in an earlier post from last Thursday. Any questions, let me know. Well done everyone - Hazel, Lime and Birch did a fantastic performance of 'Frosty the Snowman' during the annual Winter Performance! A lovely throwback to our class trip to Milano Blanchardstown! What a great time we had learning how to make pizza! We have been using word maps when we start new topics all year. Usually teacher writes the word map and we think of what to include in it. This week so decided to have a go at creating our very own Celebrations word map in groups and pairs. Check out the fantastic work we did! Rehearsals for the Winter Show are in full swing! We look forward to seeing you all on Friday morning at 8.45am for a fantastic performance by all the children. After almost a full term of work learning how to play the ukulele, we had our Ukulele Showcase today. Here is Vance Joy's 'Riptide' performed by the Redwood & Birch Class Toys and Bake Sale Items needed for our Winter Fair!
We will have a toy and baked goods table for sale at the fair. If any parents have old toys that are in good condition that they would like to donate they can do so on Thursday, December 6th. Parents who would like to donate baked goods for the bake sale can drop these into the school on the morning of the Winter fair, Friday, December 7th. Fresh from our ukulele performance this afternoon (which was fantastic!) we are delighted to announce the time for this years Winter Performance! All classes have been working hard learning and rehearsing songs and dances and are very excited about performing for all our families from 8.45am on Friday 7th December 2018. We look forward to seeing you then!
