We are enjoying a well earned bit of free-play fun at the end of our first week! Well done everyone - see you Monday!
We have been working hard on using the correct pencil grip and starting to learn cursive handwriting! Everyone is P.E.T.N.S. uses cursive (joined) handwriting - see our Parents Corner for more information. Well done everyone for such great concentration! Today we had a very special visit from Sebastian who was in the Birch Class last year. He told us all about the class - his favourite parts, trips, activities and lots more. We asked him questions about things he enjoyed, things that were tricky and friends he made. Sebastian also gave us some great advice - "You have to be brave to try things that you don't think you can do". Thanks Sebastian - we look forward to chatting to you around the school about everything we get up to in the Birch Class. We are learning to play together in P.E. and the yard! We went on a tour of the school this morning - we saw the Hall, lots of classrooms, a cool mural, the outdoor learning spaces, a bug hotel, willow dome, geodome and lots lots more!! We were so excited and can't wait to get back to all these fantastic spaces again Welcome to the Birch Class blog - we will be keeping parents and friends up to date with all the fun, exciting and educational things we get up to over the coming school year.
